Plain sailing for royal visitors in Burnley
It was certainly a different way to greet well-wishers.
The
Queen, joined by
Prince Philip and
Prince Charles, waved to cheering crowds in Burnley from the deck of a barge.
The trio were in Lancashire to mark the
Diamond Jubilee, and Charles had an extra special reason for coming along.
Six of his charities have worked on regenerating the town – and the heir to the throne is a secret fan of Burnley Football Club.
