Princess Victoria brimming with happiness on first post-baby engagement
23 MARCH 2012
She's well known for her warm smile. But Princess Victoria of Sweden was even more joyful than usual as she resumed royal duties after welcoming her new baby, Princess Estelle.
The 34-year-old was the centre of attention at a luncheon for Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall at the royal palace in Stockholm.
Elegant in a vibrant green dress, and with her husband Prince Daniel by her side, the future queen looked radiant.
Motherhood certainly seems to agree with the royal – who recently commented that the experience has been "wonderful", though at the moment her newborn daughter "only sleeps and eats".
Victoria was joined by the rest of her family. Her sister Princess Madeleine, who wore a black dress by Victoria Beckham, brother Carl Philip, mother Queen Silvia and father King Carl Gustaf.
Earlier in the day Camilla met students and teachers, several in fancy dress, at the British International Primary School in Stockholm.
Meanwhile keen environmentalist Charles dropped in on the Swedish Resilience Centre, which conducts research into ecologically-sound future world solutions. There the Prince enjoyed a cup of tea heated with ethanol.
