It's Her Majesty's turn to bow-wow for special subjects

02 MAY 2012

Decked out in festive red, white and blue collars, a trio of cute canines capture the Queen's attention.

A well-known lover of Corgis, the monarch was delighted to come across them during a visit to Sherborne.

Continuing the fun-filled theme, Her Majesty then attended a Mad Hatter's garden party in the grounds of Sherborne Abbey.

Clearly amused by the costumes, she beamed on meeting a couple dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland.

Her own attire also drew attention – she chose to recycle the cerise outfit worn in March when she kicked off her Jubilee tour alongside the Duchess of Cambridge.

On Wednesday, she and the Duke of Edinburgh will receive a roaring royal welcome when they pass through Yeovil and Exeter.

Their party will arrive by train before attending an outdoor Jubilee Fayre where they will be treated to exhibits displayed by local school children.
